- Why should I pay to have my blog hosted? Having WordPress hosted on our servers you’ll never hit the “wall” Often bloggers will begin by using a free service and everything works great for a while. However when they attempt to develop their blog beyond the basics they find themselves running into one wall after another. Free services often don’t support features that make WordPress truly priceless.
- Why should I pick you to host my blog? With us you aren’t restricted by what features the free service provides or even the standard features of WordPress. You can (or with our help) continue to develop your blog by taking advantage of the countless available open source resources. Why not start with a home you’ll never outgrow?
- What do you charge for hosting my blog? Typically $6.95 a month billed annually ($83.40). There is no fee for setup and ongoing casual support including installing Themes, Plugins and Widgets. We also offer other plans which can found on our WordPress page.
- After signing up how long will it be before my blog goes online? Typically your blog and welcoming email which includes everything you need to know to access your site will be available within a few hours.
- Once my account is opened what do I have to do before I can start blogging? Nothing at all. We install and configure the blog for you (including database creation) so you are ready to start blogging!
- How do I learn to use WordPress? WordPress is unique in that you can be blogging within a few minutes without any experience and at the same time your blog can become more sophisticated and complex when needed. Getting started and general documentation can be found here.
- How do I install Themes, Plugins and Widgets? The first thing you’ll need to do is verify that your version of WordPress is supported by what you wish to install. If not, what you are installing may not work and it’s possible that your blog itself may not function correctly. Once you are good to go in most cases you simply copy the files to their respective directory and activate them in WordPress’ administrator pages. You can view a variety of these here.
- What if I don’t know anything about Themes, Plugins and Widgets but I want to use one I found? Simply contact us with the details and we’ll take it from there. We’ll let you know if it’s supported and in most cases install it for free. Some of the above require editing WordPress’ templates to function and we offer casual support should any be required and we also offer fee based support should you wish for us to handle all of the dirty work.
